Now entering its 4th year, Force of July is a recurring, annual street dance festival that has become a cultural staple in San Diego — bringing together local and international communities to celebrate the power of hip-hop, movement, and mentorship. This year, we proudly continue to honor FULL FORCE, San Diego’s legendary Breaking crew whose decades-long legacy has served as a pillar of inspiration, leadership, and education for youth and artists throughout the region. Their influence runs deep — not only have they represented San Diego on global stages, but they’ve also built pathways for the next generation of dancers to thrive. What began as a grassroots celebration has grown into a globally recognized event, attracting participants and audiences from across the world — including Canada, France, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, and more. With each passing year, Force of July has helped boost tourism in San Diego, drawing visitors eager to experience the city’s dynamic dance culture and creative energy. At its core, Force of July is about uplifting local talent, providing a platform for dancers, DJs, and artists to showcase their craft, connect with international peers, and contribute to the rich cultural fabric of the region.
